Experimental studies on thermophysical properties of ethylene glycol/water-based MgO nanofluids

Abstract In the present study, aim is to experimentally measure isobaric specific heat, viscosity and thermal conductivity of different magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles concentrations dispersed in ethylene glycol/ water mixture with ratio 50:50 vol% as a base fluid. The experiments were performed on 20 nm particle size MgO suspended fluid volume fractions from 0.25 1% temperature range 40 120°C. data results detected that heat capacity nanofluids reduces fraction increases but rises. For all concentrations, dynamic declines non-linearly rising temperature. increase related slightly recognized at low while this change more sensible higher concentrations. Generally, showing viscosities than used. examined uniformly increasing nanofluid sample concentration.
